ABOUT US
We offer specialized small-group and private classes aimed at helping you conquer any anxiety you may have when speaking in a group environment. Our goal is to help you become a proficient communicator and a confident public speaker. Our carefully crafted curriculum is designed to equip students with the essential skills and techniques needed to excel in both oral and written communication.
Our classes are organized in age-appropriate groups and center around activities to make learning a fun experience. Classes are ongoing and are aligned with the school year. Each class package comprises of 10 classes, 45-60 minutes each. There are no long-term commitments, giving you the flexibility to choose what works best for you.
Students typically enroll for 3-4 years to master this essential life skill. Consistent practice and frequent engagement in group interactions pave the way for remarkable growth in both self-assurance and confidence, ultimately enhancing their ability to communicate effectively. We often work with students to help them with class presentations and other speeches through the school year as well - This is a complimentary service!
Private sessions (for both adults and teens) focused on critical thinking, research, analyis and speech delivery are also offered. Adults aiming to command the room in corporate presentations, to engage in persuasive conversations, or to boost their confidence in high-pressure scenarios can enroll in our private or group zoom classes. Adult classes are 30 minutes long. For details, please reach out.
ABOUT OUR FOUNDER
Hi, I am Dr. Kapoor, founder of Public Speaking Los Angeles.
I went to graduate school to study speech communication, own a speakers bureau called ACADEMIA as well as a social impact guest speaking platform called SpeakerPost.
After 15 years in the corporate world in NYC, I moved to academia to teach applied communication courses at Pepperdine, Cal State and UCLA-X in Los Angeles.
I live in Manhattan Beach (in Los Angeles, CA) and I am excited to work with you!

Quick Thinkers: A Public Speaking Adventure
Enroll your child in interactive sessions to boost impromptu speaking, storytelling, and confidence, fostering quick thinking and overcoming stage fright in public speaking.
For incoming 3rd & 4th graders
10 Sessions, 45 minutes each

Empower Your Child's Writing Journey
Join our writing workshop where students will progress from generating ideas to composing a final essay. Through activities like concept mapping, topic focus, detail development, vocabulary expansion, editing practice, and essay crafting, we'll help your child create a piece of writing that showcases their unique voice and ideas.
For elementary and middle schoolers
9-10 sessions. 60 minutes each
Time: Sunday mornings, 9 am
Location: Manhattan Beach, CA (Los Angeles)
Cost: $400
In person group class. No make-ups
Students are required to bring a charged laptop, notebook and pencils to class.
